Forty40 compete in the MSV Trackday Trophy and the Trackday Championship

Sunday saw a first for the team: racing with MSV Racing in both the MSV Trackday Trophy and the Trackday Championship at the awesome Donington Park circuit.

With mixed weather (race one had sun, rain and snow!) our little 116RS looked small on the impressive 38 car grid. We weren't sure what to expect as the entry was to help our new team friend Jimmy Broadbent gain some experience for his late April Britcar Endurance debut in the Praga prototype.

What we got was an absolutely fantastic drive from Jimmy in both races. We hadn't been able to test, so he really had to learn as he went and he showed just what an adaptable driver he really is. Qualifying in 31st for both the Trophy and the Championship, he took the car to 27th in the trophy and 26th in the Championship. We think Jimmy got it just right when he described the 116RS as "plucky".

Watch out for more this weekend when we are back with Jimmy and the 750 Motor Club at Cadwell Park for the 750MC - Hot Hatch Championship 1st and 2nd rounds.
